Hi everyone! My name is Alyssa, owner and curator of the Wick & Bloom Candle Line, formerly Luxe Intuition. I have a passion for all things beautiful inside and out. My career has mainly been in the esthetics world as an esthetician for the past 20+ years. Having a love for ingredients and using only the purest ingredients on my clients, I knew creating my candle line would have to follow suit.

This candle creation journey began when the pandemic shut the world and the beauty industry down for months. I was sitting at home binging a series of Good Girls on Netflix and just felt blah. I am not the type to sit at home and stare at the tv for hours on end. My mind just doesn't work that way. I had started dabbling in making candles at home to pass the time and just fell in love.

My love affair with wood wick candles began with a sound—the gentle crackle of burning wood, that quiet warmth that turns a room into a sanctuary. Paired with my passion for essential oils and fine fragrance, it felt like the perfect indulgence. Yet I kept running into the same disappointment: headaches, that faint wave of nausea, the sense that something wasn't right. As it turned out, that feeling described nearly the entire candle industry.

So I went looking for better. I immersed myself in the world of fine ingredients and discovered just how much of the market is built on the toxic and the unnecessary, synthetic fillers and cheap shortcuts hiding behind beautiful labels. I became determined to create something different: the cleanest-burning luxury wood wick candle I could make, with nothing to hide.

My standard has always been simple. If I wouldn't feel at ease burning it in my own home, I would never ask you to burn it in yours.

It's my hope that you find as much joy in these wooden wick candles and natural wax melts as I have in creating them. Knowing there are a ton of candles on the market that are plain toxic and full of unnecessary ingredients, I was determined to produce the most clean burning luxury wooden wick candle line.
